PC build in Malaysia: how a custom build works, start to finish
Thinking about a PC build? We build custom PCs and workstations by hand at our Publika workshop in Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur, and deliver across Malaysia. Here is how a build with us works, from your first message to the day you switch it on.

Custom build or pre-built?
A pre-built PC is specified for a shelf, at a price point. A custom PC build is specified for your work: the parts are chosen around the software or games you run, so you get the performance you need without paying for what you don’t. You also know exactly what is inside, which makes upgrades and repairs simpler later.
Start from your software or your games, not the parts list
You don’t need to know which parts you want. Tell us:
- the software you use, or the games you play and at what resolution;
- how many monitors you run;
- your budget.

What each main part decides
| Part | What it decides |

Processor (CPU) | Many professional programs, including trading platforms and most everyday work in Revit and AutoCAD, rely on a single fast core, so clock speed matters more than core count there. Rendering, simulation and video exports use many cores. |
Graphics card (GPU) | It decides how many screens you can run, and it does the heavy lifting in real-time rendering (Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion), DaVinci Resolve and local AI models. Its video memory (VRAM) limits how large a scene or model fits: roughly 2 GB per billion parameters for an AI model at 16-bit. |
Memory (RAM) | Enough capacity keeps every program and workspace open all day. For simulation, when a model no longer fits in RAM, a run can become several times slower. Memory channels matter too: for CFD, more channels often beat more cores. |
Storage | Intraframe video such as ProRes and DNxHR needs fast storage to scrub smoothly, and fast NVMe scratch storage limits the slowdown when a simulation runs out of memory. |
Power supply and motherboard | These are planned for what comes later, such as a second graphics card for more monitors or a larger AI model. |
The steps from enquiry to collection
Most builds are ready in 3 to 5 business days.

Tell us your work, budget and the software you run, and we’ll recommend the right build. - Quotation
Happy with the recommendation? We’ll send a formal quotation. - Deposit
A 10–20% deposit, depending on the order value, confirms the order and starts the build. - Assembly and testing
We assemble your PC by hand at Publika, then run it at full load for 24 hours on Prime95 and FurMark 2 before sign-off. Test logs are available on request. - Collection or delivery
Collect from Publika at a time we agree with you, or we deliver.
Paying for your build
We accept cash, bank transfer and card. Instalments are available through SPayLater, subject to eligibility, and credit card plans with most banks, except Maybank, CIMB and Public Bank. The balance is due on collection or before delivery.
Building with parts you already own
Yes. We can do a partial build around the parts you already have. If you supply every part, we charge for assembly based on how complex the build is.
Delivery, warranty and after-sales
Delivery
Free within the Klang Valley, where we can deliver on the same day your PC is ready. Elsewhere in Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak, we ship by GDex at cost, confirmed when we quote. On-site setup is available, and its charge may be waived depending on the order value.
Warranty
Each build carries its components’ manufacturer warranty, generally 3 years, covering parts and labour. If something fails, bring it to us and we handle the claim for you.
After-sales
Dust cleaning, troubleshooting and the labour for upgrades are free for as long as you own the PC; you pay only for any new parts. Within the Klang Valley, we also collect and return it for servicing at no charge.
