Built on Honesty — Proven Across a Thousand Builds
How Techtonic Started
Started out of frustration. Built on principle.
Techtonic was founded in 2020 by Han, who spent years working in legal before pursuing something he had been doing his whole life — building computers. When Covid hit and he went looking for a new desktop, every shop he visited either tried to overcharge him, gave poor advice, or lacked the knowledge to back up what they were selling. Having been the go-to person for anything technology-related at home since he was young, the gap in the market was clear.
Techtonic started as the shop he wished had existed — one where the advice is honest, every build is properly put together, and pricing is transparent. Since then, we have completed over a thousand builds for customers across Malaysia.
The early builds were referrals. Someone got a machine, it worked, they sent a colleague. By 2022 we were building for trading firms, architecture studios, and content teams — and we stopped offering pre-configured packages because every serious buyer had different requirements. Now every build starts with a conversation about what you actually run, not a specs sheet we picked in advance.

Workstations for Professionals
What started as a gaming-focused business has shifted significantly. Today, the majority of our work is with professionals — interior designers, engineers, architects, and firms in the construction industry — people who need machines that perform consistently under sustained, demanding workloads. Every build is configured around what you actually do and the software you run, not a generic off-the-shelf setup.
Most of the machines we build today are for teams that use their hardware for income — a slow render or a dropped frame costs real money. That shifts the conversation from cost per component to cost of the wrong component. We have built machines for single traders running 8-monitor setups, architecture firms doing real-time Lumion renders, and ML engineers training models overnight. The specs look different. The standard does not.

High-End Gaming PCs
Gaming builds remain a core part of what we do, and we approach them with the same rigour. Every unit is assembled to match the titles and resolutions you actually play, then stress-tested before it leaves us. If hardware matters to how you perform, we will make sure every component earns its place in the build.
The build process doesn’t change because the use case is gaming instead of trading or rendering — the same testing, the same attention to airflow and cable management, the same workshop in Publika. What changes is the target: frame rates at your resolution, thermals under sustained load, and a case that looks the part on a desk. Whether you’re chasing competitive frame rates or just want something that runs quiet under a desk without dropping performance, we spec it around how you actually play — not a pre-set tier.
